Helping To Stop Men
Dying Too Young.

The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men’s health, funding over 1,200 innovative projects across 21 countries. To date, the Foundation has raised $769M USD for men’s health programs supporting these critical areas: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

Delete were approached by Movember and asked if we’d be interested in helping them create a series of WeTransfer wallpapers in order to support the 2017 Movember Campaign. These wallpapers were intended to help raise awareness of the charity and lead to new signups.

The Concept.

Using a combination of skills, the series of photographs show our employees going about their daily work life with fun Movember illustrations overlaid on top. Our idea aimed to target office-based workers who would regularly use WeTransfer. The images stand as an example of what WeTransfer users can do to help raise money or awareness for the men’s health charity.

The final images not only to show what people could be doing for Movember, but also help to inspire those sat behind a desk; igniting their imagination. This, alongside this year’s charity message of “I am the difference”, really helped create a strong, impactful series.

The Building Blocks.

The brief given to Delete by Movember was to “showcase Movember in a visually artistic manner”. We had total free range on style and final outcome, but needed to adhere to the WeTransfer guidelines and include the charities primary messaging - as well as a call to action to the website.

The Process.

We set out a clear set of concepts that combined an average office scenario with a situation that evoked a sense of supporting Movember, then passed them over to our illustrator.

We wanted to create the illustrations traditionally, with pen and paper in order to add a gritty and authentic feel to each wallpaper. Once complete, the illustration was scanned in digitally and overlaid onto the photograph. A single colour was applied in between to further add contrast and highlight key areas of the illustration.

We felt that this traditional illustration style, combined with the warm office environment photography, resulted in an impactful image.

The Creative.

Working with Delete on this project was seamless. Their deep understanding of both the brand, it’s message and the audience of WeTransfer have allowed for the creation of inspiring and engaging visuals. We hope this project will engage with the community and transform them into engaged Mo Bros and Sisters who help change the face of men’s health.
 

Delete x Movember.

Here at Delete, we have a history with Movember and it’s worthy cause. We are committed to fundraising and supporting Movember, especially since some Delete staff members have been affected by men’s health issues.
This year, we’re particularly proud of our Senior Designer, Adam Campion, who celebrates 10 years in connection with Movember. Adam has personally helped to raise over £30,000 for the charity and over the last 10 years, has encouraged staff at the agency to join him in fundraising. His efforts have culminated in raising over £3,000 with Delete staff.
