Delete Strengthens Relationship with Meningitis Research Foundation by Donating New Website
The Meningitis Research Foundation, whose main aim is to to see a world free from meningitis and septicaemia, has unveiled its new website in time for the annual Meningitis Awareness Week (18-24 September).
Along with this primary aim, the charity's mission was also to have more engaged and informed patients and communities. To aid this vision, Meningitis Research Foundation enlisted the help of long term supporters and digital agency, Delete, to make their vision a reality.
Delete saw the project as an opportunity to assist extended activities for the charity and cement a relationship that started with Meningitis Research Foundation’s original website build in 2009.
Within the new site, the user journey has been improved with restructured navigation for clearer signposting to make it easier for users to switch from one area of the site to another. Important medical information is also made more accessible by reducing the amount of content overall, and refining what was left in order to highlight the work the Meningitis Research Foundation undertakes.Mark Walton, CEO of Delete commented:“Working with such an important charity is a privilege for Delete. Not only are we proud to be supporting the Meningitis Research Foundation and the vital work that they do, but we also feel a real responsibility to aid the dedication others do in order to solve life’s challenges.
We see our work with the with Meningitis Research Foundation as an ongoing commitment to the charity’s overall vision and goals and we are extremely excited to continue our work for and with them.”
Rob Dawson, Head of Communications, Advocacy and Support at Meningitis Research Foundation added: “We are delighted to have partnered with Delete at a time when we are expanding the reach of our work. The online world is a critical platform for us to inform the general public, communicate with our supporters and involve people in our vital work, and campaigns. Because meningitis strikes so quickly, having more easily accessible information about signs and symptoms is also key to saving lives.
Delete feel like part of our family, and we have developed a close working relationship with them over many years - they have a firm understanding of our ethos and values. As soon as we saw their ideas for the new site we loved them. All aspects of the construction have been well-managed, and the degree of technical knowledge, creativity and, in particular, skilled design displayed by Delete has been of the highest calibre.”
