TheOpen.com Wins the Sitecore Ultimate Experience Award
Delete is celebrating once again, following yet another award win for our TheOpen.com project - this time at Sitecore Symposium 2019 in Florida.
Having already picked up awards including ‘Best Website Design’ at the DADIs and a Sitecore Experience award for ‘Best Business Impact or ROI’ in the last few months, the digital platform has added Sitecore’s Ultimate Experience Award to its trophy cabinet.
Global Recognition of an Impressive Collaborative Effort
Having already recognised TheOpen.com as a market-leading in the EMEA region, Sitecore has now judged it to be a global winner for 2019. The project saw Delete working closely with the teams at the R&A and TEC on developing the website, and all concerned are thrilled with the prestigious recognition.
Discussing the project, Kevin McQuillan, Head of Marketing at The R&A, said: “Investment in innovation is one of the reasons that The Open remains relevant and the pinnacle of the sport of golf. The Open’s partnership with Delete is a perfect example of this and together we have established a bold new digital vision for The Open’s fan experience, through a platform that enables us to support all of our aspirations for the Championship including optimising it’s commercial potential.”
Tom Dougherty, UX Director at Delete, added: “It’s fantastic to be able to deliver an award-winning project, in collaboration with the team at The R&A and TEC, and the whole team can be proud of their efforts in producing a market-leading digital platform.”
Exciting Potential for Future Awards
Each year, Sitecore, the global leader in customer experience management, celebrates agencies who excel in delivering Sitecore solutions that offer outstanding value for their customers and generate the results they need.
What’s more, the awards to date only recognise the digital platform in the run up to the tournament - with the tournament’s ‘Live Mode’ platform falling into a different awarding period. We have also seen some great results from the ‘Live Mode’ and hope to continue our success with TEC & The R&A in the coming years. You can see the ‘Live Mode’ case study here.
