The Wagamama Lounge (a festival pop-up) was all about serving up delicious dishes, great music and amazing art at UK's hottest summer festivals. Amplify partnered with Delete to create a digital platform to raise awareness of this exciting festival space and grow Wagamama's reach on the social web.
We were briefed to create an social competition mechanic and campaign, aimed at exciting fans about the Wagamama Lounge, leveraging the festivals where it would be popping up. The goal was to was ensure the investment Wagamama was making into these festivals to generate brand exposure was broadcast and shared widely with both brand aware fans and newcomers.
Our solution was a facebook application hub where visitors were able to explore all the Wagamama Lounges via festival tabs, including street artists, big name DJ sets and all the tasty Wagamama dishes being cooked up especially for the festivals. The app was in play across the summer with multiple festival features and competition to win tickets.
Visually, we were able to create a responsive social app which was sympathetic to the graphic brand aesthetic of the festival sites. The content was presented in an editorial style with captivating video, animation, photography and integrated spotify playlists - all designed to engage the visitor with this cool festival concept.
